Pasar página y empezar un capítulo nuevo nos lo hemos planteado todos, siquiera fugazmente, alguna vez. Fin de Año es una época especialmente propicia para el florecimiento de renovados sueños de futuro. Y también para echar la vista atrás e intentar cuadrar el debe y el haber de lo vivido durante el año que cierra. ¿Lo haces tú también?

Para mí Fin de Año es uno de los mejores momentos para celebrar el seguir aquí, viva, alerta, entera; estar profundamente agradecida por los nuevos amigos que han entrado en mi vida y por los viejos que siguen en ella; brindar por lo aprendido, haya sido por el camino fácil o por el tortuoso; alegrarme infinitamente por todo lo que tengo, de lo palpable (casa, sustento) a lo intangible (acompañar en la aventura de la vida a mi pequeña, fascinarme con la salida del sol en el Mediterráneo). En Fin de Año no hago sitio para el lamento, la ingratitud o el arrepentimiento. Fin de Año es terreno para la ilusión, el optimismo y la determinación. Es el momento para renovar los sueños.

Formula un sueño. Sueña a lo grande. Sueña como el bandido de la película de Disney Enredados. Un bandido que soñaba con ser pianista. Un bandido pianista con un garfio en vez de mano. Sueña desde ahí, desde la posibilidad. Sueña a pesar de todo lo demás. Sueña desde la certeza de que tu potencial y tu talento están ahí esperando a que les des rienda suelta, sin límites, sin miedos. Sueña con la seguridad de que si puedes soñarlo, puedes hacerlo. Empieza el año sabiendo lo que quieres obtener de él. Deja que salga tu sueño desde lo más profundo de ti. Dale forma sin complicaciones, con palabras sencillas pero contundentes. Anímalo con el calor y la sabiduría del corazón. Y, lo más importante, dale vida con … ¡acción!

Vístete de fiesta no sólo mañana sino todo el año. Vístete con una actitud de posibilidad, de abundancia, de genialidad. Brinda mañana para celebrar lo que has sido y festejar lo que vas a ser. Tómate tus doce uvas, que no van a ser de la suerte, ¡demasiado en juego para dejarlo al capricho del azar! Nada de eso. Tus doce uvas van a ser la ilusión, energía, fuerza, optimismo, determinación, posibilidad, confianza, talento, inspiración, voluntad, creatividad y dedicación que vas a poner en marcha YA para hacer realidad tus sueños este año.

To turn page and start a new chapter… something we all have considered, even briefly, sometime. New Year is the time of year in whose wake we think of renewed future goals. And also a time for looking back and trying to balance the accounts of what we lived along the closing year. Do you do any of this as well?

To me New Year is one of the best moments to celebrate being here, alive, aware, whole; to be deeply thankful for the new friends that have entered my life and for the old ones that stay in it; to toast to all the lessons learnt, either the easy way or the winding one; to be joyful for everything I have, from the palpable (shelter, food) to the intangible (walk my little one in the adventure of life, enjoying the Mediterranean sunrise). In New Year there is no room for sorrow, ingratitude, or regret. New Year is soil for wishes, optimism and determination. It is the time to renew our dreams.

Make a dream. Dream big. Dream like the thug in Disney’s Tangled. A thug that dreamt of becoming a pianist. A pianist thug with a hook for a hand. Dream from there, from possibility. Dream in spite of everything else. Dream from the certainty of having your potential and talent waiting to grow reinless, limitless, fearless. Dream with the belief that if you can dream it, you can do it. Start the New Year knowing what you want from it. Allow your dream to rise from your deepest self. Shape it effortlessly with straightforward and forceful words. Stir it with the warmth and wisdom of your heart. And, most important, bring it to life with… action!

Dress up tomorrow, and for the rest of the year. Dress up with an attitude of possibility, of abundance, of genius. Toast tomorrow to honor who you were and to celebrate who you will be. Take twelve grapes at midnight, one for each stroke of the clock. Those won’t be lucky grapes. Too much at stake to leave it at the whims of luck. None of it. Those twelve grapes are going to be the excitement, energy, strength, optimism, determination, possibility, trust, talent, inspiration, will, creativity, and dedication you are going to set into motion NOW to make your dreams come true this year.
